Cancer is the leading cause of death. Although western medicine has achieved a lot progress in cancer diagnosis and treatment, still almost 10.0 million cancer deaths occurred in 2020 in the world. Serious side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy are limiting the effectiveness of cancer treatments.
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) can significantly reduce these side effects. It plays a vital role in the treatment of cancer. A large number of laboratory studies have shown that many traditional Chinese herbal medicines and their preparations can affect the prognosis of cancer in different ways. How to select these herbs to support different kinds of cancer patients? Professor Tang will share his nearly 40 year’s clinic experience on this topic.
In this one day seminar we will introduce:
- How do reduce the side effects of chemo and radio therapy
- How to support the postoperative patient
- Commonly used anticancer herbs and its mechanism.
- TCM Intervention of common cancers in western countries.
